Winter Is Just Around the Corner!

Time to get those late fall projects done.

While winter is fast approaching and the rental business is still going strong, we would like to remind our customers that all ground engaging equipment, including excavators and backhoes, will not be available to rent when measurable frost is in the ground. We understand that there are areas that are not effected by frost, but since we have no means to qualify where there is and is not frost, we choose to close down our ground engaging equipment for the winter months. The buckets on the excavators and backhoes are not equipped with frost points and, at this point, we do not rent hydraulic drills, breakers, or hammers.

Another reason we close down the rentals for certain machines is frozen mud and ice buildup in the tracks which may cause significant damage if not cleaned out during and after every use. Frozen tracks make it difficult for us to pick up a piece of equipment after rental.

Tractors and track loaders will be available to rent throughout the winter months to aid in snow removal. Please call us with any questions at (207) 785-0304 we will be happy to assist you.
