We’re looking for someone who has a positive attitude, good organizational skills, a little mechanical aptitude and knowledge, and strong computer and customer service skills. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine check-in procedures promptly on returned rental equipment
- Inspect rental returns for damage and repair as needed
- Fill fuel tanks as needed.
- Clean and wash rental returns to make ready for the next rental.
- Perform routine maintenance at specified intervals: fluid and filter changes.
- Stage equipment for the rental department.
- Organize the rental inventory on display outside the building.
- Provide customer service.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AS NEEDED:
- Safely and efficiently assemble equipment for retail sales inventory.
- Perform a PDI (Pre-delivery Inspection), ensuring everything on a piece of equipment works properly before it is delivered to the customer.
- Light mechanical work.
- Load and unload delivery trucks.
- Maintain the buildings and grounds.
REQUIRED EXPECTATIONS:
- Reliable and punctual.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Wear the supplied uniforms every day.
- Ensure all work is completed in a safe environment.
- Report any unsafe practices, equipment, or concerns to the service manager.
- Participate in company meetings and functions.
- Operate all equipment in a safe manner in the shop and out in the yard.
- Supply your own tools, except specialty tools required by the manufacturers.
- Keep your work area neat and safe.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs
- Neck rotation, trunk rotation, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, crawling.
- Working conditions will be indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions.
- Noise level may be loud at times.
- Will be on feet all day.
SKILLS:
- Self-motivated.
- Good communicator.
- Able to follow direction and accomplish duties with accuracy and timeliness.
- Able to read and understand manuals and procedures.
- Able to operate forklifts and other equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Clean, valid driver’s license.
