Yard Person

We have an immediate opening for a utility yardman.

Responsibilities will include providing excellent customer service, staging equipment for the service department, organizing the equipment displays outside the building, loading and unloading delivery trucks, and maintaining the property. Additional responsibilities will include assisting with equipment setup and preparation for delivery, loading tires with liquid ballast, and some light mechanical work.

We are searching for a self-motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma and clean driving record are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide customer service
  • Stage equipment for the service department
  • Organize the inventory on display outside the building
  • Load and unload delivery trucks
  • Maintain the buildings and grounds

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AS NEEDED:

  • Assisting with equipment setup and preparation
  • Loading tires with ballast fluid
  • Light mechanical work
  • Assist Rental Dept

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Neck rotation, trunk rotation, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, crawling
  • Working conditions will be indoor and outdoor in all weather conditions
  • Noise level may be loud at times
  • Will be on feet all day

SKILLS:

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Able to follow direction and accomplish duties with accuracy and timeliness
  • Able to read and understand manuals and procedures
  • Able to operate forklifts and other equipment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Will be trained on the dealerships computer system
  • Professional personal appearance
